Manicures and Hot Tea

Although it is true that I have been more busy than normal and unable to post like I normally would/ did, I would like to note that I have written approximately 3 posts which I deleted because they got stale before I could finish them. I tried to follow through, really, but I just couldn't. I just wanted you to know, in case I get some sort of credit for trying.
;)

I figure you deserve a nod, at the least, so I sat down at my computer with a Blizzard (so that I will not want to get up again). French Silk Pie, since you asked. Yum! And yes, I am eating a Blizzard in a Blizzard. Ok, it's not really a Blizzard (outside), but we did take an unofficial snow day due to the fact that there was a ton of snow on my driveway and no practical way for me to leave safely. It was OK, we survived and the boys even sledded for a few hours, which is always fun (pictures coming..really!)

The Princess has been out of school with a fever anyway, so it really wasn't much different to her. We did nails.

I wanted to mention the nail stickers on her fingernails. We (she) got them from Santa. Holy Cow! These are the cutest things ever! I want to be 6 again! please.

The lady at the local heath food store gave me some dried herbs to make the Princess her very own special blend of tea, which has a purple hue to it. She has been drinking it to ease her sore throat...and because how cool is it to have your own special blend??? Awesome!

I did some experiments with textures in these pics because I am always enthralled by these big names who use (and sell) textures and I want to buy them every time even though I have a ton already.

I am one of those who thinks any grain is a bad thing (amateur?) so I keep going back and forth on whether this I love this look or if it looks like I took it with a disposable camera. Could it be both? LOL

I was hoping to convey the "I did this on purpose" look.

I'll be back soon with pictures of the snow!

:)

Nin Jiom Pei Pa Koa (ninjiom-hk.cwahi.net) may be another choice. i know alot of people use it, its also non alcoholic, though it's effectiveness is not as good as alcohol based cough medicine, but it's still good to use on not so serious sore throat.
