Head in the Clouds

It is cold and trying to snow here, which is my kind of day. I wrote you guys a post and I do so hope to get it up, but right now my head is in the clouds because I decided that this would be the year to not only get out the Christmas ornaments, but also to empty the entire Christmas section of my attic (roughly the size of a small Target store...or so it seems) so my Living Room is covered in boxes. I am sorting through what I should keep and what needs to go. This is a biggie. I have not done this since we were married, I think.

If you have been over to my Facebook page, you know that I have been entering some of the photography contests put on by Ree, The Pioneer Woman. Currently, she is choosing finalists for the "Edit This" Photography Assignment. Well, guess who's edit made it into Round 5? Not that I am bragging, mind you. 

But I am totally bragging. I am just really, really excited to be picked!

I am posting the edit here, but remember that I did not take this picture. I just edited it; "arted it up", if you will. If you go to www.thepioneerwoman.com you will get a glimpse of my picture in her slideshow, which gives me a total thrill. She has gotten like 5,472 hits on her site just from me gawking at the fact that little 'ole me made it on to her site!

Friday is my birthday. I am thinking one of you must have talked Ree into doing this as a surprise for me. If you did, thanks! I have been on Cloud 9!

The actual winner is supposed to be announced some time this week. I already have my picks. This is so fun!

Now I am going to go clean my living room and sing Christmas carols. Please tell me your decorations and not up yet and your house is not all back to "normal". I need to feel better about myself in that department. Oh wait! On second thought, I am feeling pretty dang good, right now, so it doesn't matter. :)
