Years ago, when The Princess was tiny, I struggled to keep bows in her hair. I had fantasized for so long about dressing someone up in pink and bows, it had never occurred to me that my other two babies had gone mostly bald by their first week of life!
Years ago, when The Princess was tiny, I struggled to keep bows in her hair. I had fantasized for so long about dressing someone up in pink and bows, it had never occurred to me that my other two babies had gone mostly bald by their first week of life!
The minute she got the tiniest sprout of hair, I started making and collecting bows like crazy. I always wanted her to have a special bow for every outfit. OK, I still do. ;) But the velcro ones slid right out and the metal ones didn't seem to hang on at all.
At some point during all this, I read about a company called No Slippy Hair Clippy. I remember saying aloud "Why didn't I think of that?"
By the time I found No Slippy Hair Clippy,
Princess was growing a lovely dark mane,
so I didn't think she would need something like this.
Boy, was I wrong!
If I could count the number of "other" bows she lost, or the number of hairs she yanked out trying to remove them, I'd probably be sick.
The good news is that No Slippy Hair Clippy may have begun by making baby bows that would not slip, but has grown into a company which offers stylish options for girls of any age.
Their patent-pending, beautifully handcrafted baby bows, cheer bows, hair clips, headbands and other hair accessories are guaranteed to stay in place.
No Slippy Hair Clippy is exactly what you think it is: a mom-genius idea that created a great and useful product.
No Slippy Hair Clippy sent The Princess and I a sample from each of their lines of products. I was amazed the very first day when I picked The Princess up from school and she still had her bow in her hair, right where I'd put it earlier that morning!
As for myself, I have been enjoying the whimsical nature of my flower clip (like the one above) and headband (OK, maybe that one was intended for The Princess, but it's SO cute and comfy on ME!).
One thing I wanted to share with you is that the clippys are much sturdier than the clips I have purchased from other vendors and the velvet lining makes them really stay in place.
I cannot wait to add more No Slippy Hair Clippys to our collection!

They are very cute. It is so hard to keep bows in little hair. I just did a giveaway for another company in Canada that makes them as well. Glad someone captured the market, lol.
