Highlights of My Week

I am finally ignoring all my housework sitting down to my computer to show off a few of the amazing links we had last Thursday. I will be back tomorrow for another Theme Party Thursday...it will be the last time our theme will include Halloween. I'm pretty easy, I'll bet you can guess the new theme. I sure hope I have a new button up and running for you by tomorrow.

Have I told you I am refinishing a rocking chair from hell and helping the kids decoupage it for a school charity auction? Actually, it's going quite well, just ssuuuuppperrrr time consuming since I cannot stand poorly painted furniture and I am a perfectionist little bit particular when it comes to painting (especially when it is for someone else!) We chose an ILLINI theme since we are BIG Illinois fans and so are lots of people around here who may be bidding at this auction. Keep your fingers crossed though. I am more artsy fartsy and maybe I should have thought of that because I am having a hard time combining the BIG10 theme with artsy fartsy.

At this time, I am also making 2 Hogwarts uniform ties, which thankfully seem pretty easy. I found some burgundy satin on sale at JoAnn's and am trying not to stress. Man! That stuff frays a lot!

After the ties are finished I will be making a jersey for the Argentine soccer team. Ever heard of this guy?

Well, neither had I. This is Lionel Messi, an Argentinian soccer star.
This is who MVP is going to be for Halloween.
What have I gotten myself into?

LOL

Speaking of Halloween, I am going to repost the tute I did on how to make Glinda the Good Witch's crown. The material and techniques I used for that crown can be applied to a lot of different crafts or costumes. I will do that in a separate post since you may have already fallen asleep reading this this post is getting long.

Now on with the features because I totally need a happy distraction!
