Apples

I love {apples}

I love apples so much, in fact, that I made my Princess an apple outfit two years ago. I was reminded of it because I am thinking of making her a new apple outfit.

While I am thinking, though, I will share the original ideas with you. It was so easy and so

CUTE!

First, I bought a plain white T-shirt and denim Capris. You could use any colors you like.

I found this adorable trim at one of the craft stores:

I simply stitched the trim onto the cuff of the capris.

In this photo, I set it over a red grosgrain ribbon so it would show up better;

you could sew it on like that if you preferred.

For the top, I turned to my BFF Google Images.

I typed in "apple" and selected "Line Drawings" in the left side bar.

I printed the image out and traced it onto piece of fabric stabilizer.

Then I used grid paper to plot where I would place the buttons. I wanted them to be somewhat evenly spaced, though you may have to adjust it a bit to accommodate the round shape.

Next, I just sewed on the buttons.

I used green felt for the leaf.

I wish I had a close-up of the leaf for you but these pictures are really old and I didn't think of it at the time.

(I already passed the outfit on to someone else's Princess.)

Anyway, I stitched right down the middle of the felt leaf, so it created a realistic appearance.

So cute!

I lucked out on the corkers because someone gave them to her as a gift.

I just love them!
