While we were in Louisville, we toured the Louisville Slugger Factory and Museum. It was awesome. We were having a little camera trouble, so I did not take as many pictures as I had planned, but we had a great time learning about the bats, the players, the game. MVP plays baseball (of course) so he was especially interested. They loved seeing the bats of their favorite players right there on the factory floor.
The only names I can remember are the Derek Jeter and Evan Longoria. I have no idea who they play for, but I know know they play with Louisville Sluggers. And PS did you know that Evan and Eva are not related? (I didn't.)
Oh yeah and there was an entire wall of players siggys from when they played with a Slugger. It would be really impressive if you are a baseball fan. Babe Ruth, Jackie Robinson, Stan Musial, Willie Mays...you get the idea.
Now on with the show:
They have this giant bat at the door of the museum. It is so big you can see it from space!
Here's a shot of MVP holding some famous dude's bat. I guess it's valuable 'cause it's chained to the counter. LOL
Here's a shot of the little people inside a giant baseball glove carved out of stone.
Next time I am hauling the big camera in, even if it is a pain. There is just no substitute. But we did have a good time running around and playing in the batting cages.
I'll tell you more about our Southern adventures soon.
For MVP and Sugar, this was the highlight of the trip, I think.
Don't get me wrong, I like baseball just fine.
It's just that they were not serving food and I had no camera to entertain me,
so I have uncharacteristically little to say. ;)
For the record, I am a Cubs fan.
Not because I watch the games that much, but because I am.
My hubby is a Cardinals fan, which keeps things interesting around here.
Who do you root for at the old ballgame?

Ahhh! Louisville! Home sweet home to me! I hope she treated you well! :)
I love the fact that you could only remember two baseball players names...I'm a HUGE Yankees fan, so of course I love Derek Jeter and my husband is a HUGE Rays fan and his favorite player is Evan!
(I'm jealous you got to go to the museum!)
