Never Give Up

April is Autism Awareness month.

I found this short video entitled "Never Give Up" on the National Autism Association's Website. It is worth the time to read this information. We should all be up in arms about this! These are our kids.

Last week I read a great post on Are You There God, It's Me? It was originally written by an autistic woman attempting to dispel some common myths about autism. I will be the first to admit that I know very little about autism, so I found this very interesting.

If you didn't get a chance to read the post, please take the time to do so.

Read more here...
If you are looking for more information on autism, Missy has a link on her blog, which lists several resources.

Now which one of you was teasing me for liking the bee? Yes, I just got stung tonight for the first time ever. So I am signing off (it was on my hand) as it hurts to type. I'll let you know if I change my mind about the bee. :)

As always, tell those you love that you do!

You poor thing. I can believe you have bees flying around already. Feel better.

The video hits home for me. My little nephew is autistic.

Thank you for sharing this. My older brother is autistic and it's vital that people are able to become more aware of autism, because it is increasing and affecting more people. My brother endured most of what was mentioned in the video and those things should have never happened!
Thank you again!

We do have bees in the garden, but I think it was a wasp. Either way, it was not fun! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and sharing your sweet comment! It's always nice to meet other crazies like myself :).
Also, thank you for this post and for helping to make people aware of what we can do!

Hi Jerri, I know next to nothing about autism so thanks for sharing this video.

I was once stung by a wasp and it felt like a whip on my neck. It was awful but the pain went away quite quickly. Hope your hand is better by now.

Cheers!

I love that you are helping to spread the word about autism. That video brought tears to my eyes. I cannot believe the rise is so high in such a short amount of time. Its a very scary thing and we need to find answers. I think about it every time I have to take the little guy to get yet another vaccine (I know - it hasn't been proven - but I still think about it). Thank you for the post!!

And Bees suck.

Oh Jami, thank you for the beautiful video. I'm in tears right now. I will have to use that in a future post on my blog.

Thank you so much for sharing this post and trying to help others become more aware of autism. By spreading the word and trying to get others involved is the only way we are going to get answers and gain help.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
