This series is a YA historical fiction romance. Emphasis on Romance, but not in a smutty Harlequin Romance type way. Godberson leaves a lot to the imagination, which I appreciate.

I would definitely recommend these books. But, because people's standards do vary, I recommend that if you are shopping for your daughter, you read it first. There is some "scandalous" behavior" going on between these pages, but for me, these books are pure indulgence. Loved them!
