This is a great book. A neat story, but dark. There is far too much "innuendo" and hinting at darkness (for lack of a better word, sex, violence, etc) for me to say I could recommend it to a teen. Let alone a tween! However, for adults: it's what you would expect from a YA book in terms of the reading level. The story: WELL-WRITTEN, GREAT PLOT. Content: MATURE.

Ahhh. THE book. I will have to pick this one up and see what they are selling to YA now. I'm always so confusled by the market!! YA, is it 16-20? or 18-25? I never considered a young adult over 20 until I started writing.... So really...it's more about subject and content, I think. And even then, you have to be soooo careful! Sex everywhere! HS, college, premarital... *sigh* All the publishers want YA right now. They are bored with adult fiction. Let's not forgot the paranormal aspect and adventure and fantasy...etc. :) All things I thoroughly enjoy. I'm not down on it. I just don't write it. LOL
